Whether you like to travel alone, accompanied or in a group, or you are looking for unique places, gastronomic, cultural or nature destinations, at B-Travel you will find a thousand ways to travel.

With the slogan ‘Where your journey begins’, B-Travel will be the meeting point for travellers and will feature the best offers and promotions based on sustainable and quality tourism to the main Catalan, Spanish and international destinations. Here are 9 reasons not to miss this event and everything you will be able to discover during those three days.

1. The best local destinations

If you want to visit somewhere in Catalonia and need some inspiration, B-Travel will bring together local companies and official tourism organisations that will be able to provide you with detailed information on destinations for weekend breaks or where you can spend your holidays in a close, safe and sustainable geographical area. The Barcelona Provincial Council, the provincial tourism boards of Girona, Lleida, Terres de l’Ebre and Tarragona, as well as Turisme de Barcelona, among others, will be taking part in the show.

2. National and international trips

B-Travel is also the starting point for planning your experiences in the best Spanish and international destinations. The public/private collaboration brings to light the full potential of inland, rural, cultural, food and wine, industrial, active and sustainable tourism in the different autonomous communities of Spain. This way you can discover the proposals and offers of the best destinations in Aragon, Andalusia, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Castile-La Mancha, the Community of Madrid, the Region of Valencia and Navarre, among others. If you are thinking about a plan for abroad, great destinations such as France, Italy, Portugal, Indonesia or Croatia, which has the added value of being a Covid Free destination, come to B-Travel with a wide range of travel proposals.

3. New destinations

If you have Andorra or Estonia among your next destinations in mind, B-Travel is the place for you, as both countries are new in this edition. You will also be able to discover the proposals of American countries such as Argentina or Caribbean countries such as Cuba. And if you are one of those who prefer to travel nearby, this year the Basque Country is also joining B-Travel, represented by Vitoria-Gasteiz.

4. Attention food lovers!

At B-Travel you will also find a gastronomic space where you can savour different cultures through tastings and samplings from the different autonomous communities and participating countries. You’ll also be able to watch demonstrations by renowned chefs from the front row. And if you go to Rock the World, an innovative space that combines music and gastronomy, you can try different types of hamburgers and tapas from all over the world while enjoying live performances by rock bands and DJ sessions. Discover also the beer tastings, wine pairing sessions and even a workshop where they will teach you how to throw beers. You can see more details here.

5. Sustainable travel trends

Naturally, B-Travel is a showcase for new tourism trends, which are evolving towards more sustainable proposals such as km0 and responsible leisure such as Smart Destinations or Slow Travel. Priority is also being given to quality destinations and cultural, health and gastronomic experiences. It is fashionable to enjoy nature, accommodation and campsites that guarantee disconnection and places that show industrial and technological evolution and the transformation of their communities. That is why B-Travel has divided its space into six areas that match visitors’ interests: B-Adventure, B-Culture, B-Delicious, B-Industrial, B-Happy and B-Special.

6. Win prizes with the B-Travel Passport

While you discover the different offers of the exhibitors have fun with the B-Travel Passport, which will be your visa to participate in a draw with interesting prizes from partners such as Aragón, Turismo de Andalucía, Comunidad de Madrid, Kananga Viajes, Apolo Viajes, Turismo de Navarra, Viajes el Corte Inglés, Camping Review, Catalunya, Comunitat Valenciana, Travel Garage.shop or Sandos Hotels & Resort. Of course, to complete the Passport and qualify for the draw you will have to get all the stamps you will be given at the participating stands and to do so you will often have to complete a test or answer a question, so don’t forget to ask for your Passport when you enter and enjoy filling it in!

7. Alternatives for getting around

B-Travel is your chance to choose the best way to get around on your next trip or getaway, as the show will feature shipping companies specialising in cruises, airlines, road and rail transport companies such as Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Catalunya and Renfe, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a wide range of offers. Renfe and the Agència Catalana de Turisme are also partners of the show. And don’t forget to find out about the proposals of agencies specialising in destinations by price, market or experiences, such as the Grupo Viajes El Corte Inglés, which is taking part in B-Travel for the first time this year.

8. Film destination

The Cine Travel Forum is yet another reason not to miss B-Travel. Three documentary films will be shown over the three days: ‘Symphony for a New World’, ‘Home’ and ‘The Hidden Messages of Ganga’. Before the screenings, which will be free of charge, there will be a presentation of the films and, after watching them, there will be a debate with experts from the world of travel, such as the photographer Kris Ubach, the filmmaker Antonio Rodrigo and the musician Roger Subirana. The cycle is directed by journalist Jordi Llompart, president of the Societat Nova Geogràfica. You can see more details here.

9. An opportunity for professionals

Although it is open to the general public, B-Travel continues to give a preferential space to professionals in the sector through five initiatives. One of these is the B-Industrial professional conferences. Another is ACAVe Travel Market, a formula for travel agencies to connect with major Spanish and foreign destinations. During the B-Travel Job Market Place, job-seekers will be able to conduct interviews with companies. Finally, there will be a Training-Company Conference on Tourism with the CETT-UB school and the Tourism Department of IQS – School of Management.
